Balance Hitting Drills, Some alternatives for you Seadog

By: Bear

Hi

There are four other alternative
'drills' for hitters 'balence' that I like (& I have used), than the dowel concept:

a) Balance Beam.
(Can use Two 2x4 about 5 ft long.)
(Be cafeful to avoid ankles sprains.)
Works well with soft toss, or self toss (or tee-work). Drill supports front side balance

b) Make a 'box',
(It is a 'wood' box on the floor).
Works well with soft toss, or self toss (or tee-work). Drill supports stride length, or back side turn)

c) Hitting Seat
(Is it a 'stool' / chair the hitter sits on)
Works well with soft toss, or self toss (or tee-work). Drill supports stride length, back side turn, rotational hitting mechanics,
balence.)

d) Stride Guide
(It's the commmericially available one,
although it can be made for those do-it
your-selfers).
Works well with soft toss, & tee-work.
Drill supports stride length & rotational hitting mechanics, and stride guide.
