you make the decision

you're on the p&r board. Congratulations.

I'm here at your meeting because I started a travel team two years ago. My friends and I decided we needed a travel team because we don't like the way the local Little League is operating.

Well, the only decent park is the one being used by the Little League. It's a city park. We all pay taxes.

I'd like to use the park for my travel team. The Little League says they don't want any part of my team and my players can't even play in their league.

So, I've come to you for some help. We need to use the park. We're just as much a part of this community as the Little League organization, and we believe we deserve at least some time on the field to practice and play a few home games.

And if you don't let us, we'll be going to the mayor, the city council and anybody else who will listen to us.

We're also willing to pay for the use of our field since part of the fees we charge the players are used for maintenance, salaries of coaches, umpires, etc.

So, you see, we just want equality with the rec league. Sure its been here for 50 years, but just because it exists is no reason for you to discriminate against us.

So, what do you think?
