I would let mine...

We have had several offers. We are in the process of "weighing" them. His mother is currently tied up between contractions with interviewing personal physical trainers. The HS coach called last evening and actually offered him a starting position for this spring.

From what we've seen so far in ultra sounds, he'd probably make a good SS...strong arm, good mobilty, etc. So, we're considering other offers from major league scouts for him to move right in to the majors. The money appears pretty good.

We figure why mess with LL or T Ball - that only provides travel expenses, new equipment each year and a stipend for his mother and I while on the travel team - when he'd be able to support us with his signing bonus.

I am so proud of him already, and we haven't even picked out a name. We're thinking something like Babe, Ty, or Mickey. His mother is leanding toward "Horace," but I have explained to her that he would have a hard time talking that one down.

Those of you who have super athletic pre-teens really don't know what it's like to have a talented fetus. Seems like all I get done is turning down coaches who continually call and want us to move into their districts. I'm not bragging, but my kid could beat any of yours out of any position right now.
