playing time

amen....getting them to get out of their own way is our first priority...we stress hard work, and that practice IS their games...its where the coaches decides WHERE you play, and HOW much...we tell them they will play, cuz we HAVE to play them, but HOW NUCH they play is entirely up to them...and the 1st qtr - 2nd qtr thing is a big carrot too...everyone wants to start...and we DO reward those kids ....especially the linemen this year...by starting the next game...if they let us down, they go back to the 2nd qtr team..they get the msg.....we stress attitude, and hustle above all...the rest will take care of its self.....its interesting to see where theyre at when they come into the program, and where they are when they leave.....hopefully, they ve learned to get out of their own way...and THATS what our league is about....and did they have FUN? they constantly harp on the coaches to keep it as simple as possible, and we do...to make it as fun as we can, and we try.....winning is just the icing on the cake
