The following instructions apply to the download and installation of League Assistant.
- If you are installing the professional version and you already have the standard version installed then you should "uninstall" the standard version.
- Download the professional or standard version into a temporary directory.
- After the download is completed (about 45 minutes with a 56KB modem) double click on the downloaded la21pro.exe or la21stnd.exe file to expand it.
- Then double click on the "setup.exe" file to begin the installation process.
- When you first start up League Assistant Professional click "OK" to bypass the registration number screens. Note: The standard version does not have a registration screen. You will be able to use the professional version for up to 45 days from the date of the first installation. The program will begin warning you of the coming expiration whenever you get within 15 days of the expiration. The standard version has no time stamp so it will never expire.
- The user guide (file la.doc) is included in the professional version download. It is in Microsoft Word 95 format. You may also download it if you would like to review it prior to downloading the software.
- Be sure to check the support base for additional information about League Assistant.
Updated League Assistant databases are available for download. These databases update the databases contained in the downloads mentioned above and as such should be downloaded and installed after the either the professional or standard version is installed. The only difference between the following 2 downloads is the database format used.
Note 1: The downloaded database 'zip' file should be 'unzipped' into your PCs directory called \Program Files\League Assistant which was created after you downloaded AND installed either the Pro or Standard version of League Assistant.
Note 2: The updated databases contain addition reports which run under Microsoft Access 95 or 97. Downloading these updated databases is optional. However, please refer to the "League Assistant Support Base" for information on earlier versions of the databases distributed with League Assistant.
