Mission Statement

The Boston Raiders believes, there is a need to reach our youth before their attitudes and images about life have been distorted. We must find ways to return to the basics of teaching young people self discipline, self- respect, and moral responsibility. These things encourage self- esteem and promote the proper ethical and moral development into adulthood. One way of accomplishing this goal is to develop sports and art programs, which play such a big part of urban children's lives. We believe the program will develop a source of pride and positive influence in the lives of inner city youth who see violence, crime, guns and jail as a part of their daily existence. The political system does very little to provide hope or instill pride in the inner city youth. For instance; most of the funds provided for youth development are spent after children get into trouble and not before trouble begins, as it should be. We cannot control what others may say or do, but we can and must control what we do and how we act.

OUR YOUTH NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
