Help with Submitting Photos
Overview
Digital photos of WVC teams, players, and related subjects can be posted on the WVC website. Once you've taken the photo and downloaded it to your computer, all that's necessary is to e-mail the photo to Bill Peeler at w_peeler@hotmail.com including WVC Photo(s) in the subject line.
File Type and Quality
|
Most digital cameras store their photo files in JPEG format. This is the recommended type since this compression
results in the smallest file size for the best resolution. JPEG is also the type that is used on the WVC website,
so any other file types that are received will be converted to this, if it is possible to do so.
For quality, the best choice for resolution is either 640 x 480 pixels or 800 x 600 pixels. Though these may not
be the best for printing, they work great for display on a computer, such as a web page. Some digital cameras
specify an "e-mail" setting for quality, so you can choose this. If you are planning on taking photos for both
printing on paper and website display, it will still work to choose a high resolution -- the only downside is
that it may take quite a while to send the e-mail with these photos attached.

E-Mailing as an Attachment
|
Choose which photos you would like published to the WVC website, and then attach them to an e-mail
addressed to: w_peeler@hotmail.com
Make sure the subject line of the e-mail reads: WVC Photos. Please include information about the photos,
such as team name, tournament name, date, etc.

Restriction on Number of Photos
|
Considering the large number of photos submitted each week, along with the amount of time involved in
posting these to the website, we must respectfully request that a a reasonable number of photos may only
be submitted per person per occasion. Restrict your selection of photos to the better quality photos.
